It is life in it’s essence
The first breath
The first cry
The newness of a perfect creation
This life has been grown, created in the safety of his mothers womb
She has carried him, held him safe until he was brought into this world through the miracle of his birth
I stood in awe, I stood in wonder
Here in the pain and torture of his mothers labour
New life, a new beginning was birthed
His mother, courageous through her pain, endured the agony
Her groans told of her bodies cry for release
But still she clenched her fist and continued on
She cried that she did not want to continue
And yet the life inside her, urged her to rise
As he entered this world her cries of the completion mixed with the sweet sound of his precious first breath
I was honoured, humbled to be present
As this precious life entered the world, I was caught breathless at the wonder and miracle of new life
This is the miracle of our rebirth
This is the sound of our Fathers agony as he endured the torture and agony of His labour
This is the sound of our sweet entrance into eternal life as our Saviours cried of completion ring in the same breath
I stand in awe, I stand in wonder
That we may be honoured, that we might be humbled to be present at this the greatest birth.
